History of the House
As Jarras is located only about 5 km from the center of Cedeira in San Román
de Montoxo, in the valley of the river Braxe.
The main building of "As Jarras" was built in the late 1930s with local materials brought in from a nearby stone quarry and an additional part was built from the 1960s.
The ground floor used to be a bar and had a small store where people could
buy almost everything. Both the bar and the store were open until the late 1980s. In 2005 the renovation of the house began as it is seen now. The reforms ended in 2012 and the Casa Rural opened in 2016 by the new owners who are us.
